The eastern part of fifth ring road runs horizontally in the foreground, which is crossed by the Guang'an Av. (广安街, left) and the Chang'an Av. (长安街, right), which lead into the image. The Chang'an Av. is the central East-West axis through the city, with the subway Line 1 following its course. The central section whoch runs between the Forbidden City and Tian'anmen Square is commonly used for parades.
Qiansanmen Av. (前三门街) branches off Chang'an Av. at the crossing with the eastern forth ring road. The skyscrapers of the Central Business District can be seen around this crossing.
Temple of Heaven and Forbidden City appear as black areas in the center (see labels).
