A little bit than two years ago in early March, a cold wave created some icy motifs around the waterfalls of Bad Urach:
The ice around the stream appeared more interesting to me than the frozen waterfall, where the ice didn´t reach the extent of the cold winter 2012.
The deeply blue-turquoise colour of the water was impressive:

The waterfall near Bad Urach is frozen these days. Alongside the way from the parking lot to the falls itself runs a small creek. Frozen water forms bizarre sculptures around it.
The following two pictures demonstrate the edifference between long and short exposure times when photographing running water:
1/8 sek · f/32 · 60 mm · ISO 100
1/1000 sek · f/2.8 · 60 mm · ISO 100
